Cycling Metric

What is Form (Training Stress Balance - TSB)?

The difference between your Fitness (CTL) and Fatigue (ATL), indicating your readiness to perform.

Deep Dive

Form (TSB) is a balance metric. Positive TSB means you are 'fresh' and ready to race (tapered). Negative TSB means you are in a training block and likely tired. Race readiness typically occurs when TSB is slightly positive (+5 to +20).

Formula
TSB = CTL - ATL

Why It Matters

TSB is the key to peaking. You build negative TSB during training blocks to gain fitness, then rest (taper) to shed fatigue and let TSB swing positive for race day.
