Why Tire Pressure Matters

Tires often measure wider than their label on modern wide rims. A "28mm" tire might measure 30mm. Use calipers if available, otherwise use the labeled width.

Road: smooth tarmac. Mixed: chip seal or light dirt. Gravel: dedicated off-road riding on unpaved surfaces.
Tubeless vs. Tubes
This calculator assumes a standard setup. Running tubeless? You can safely go 3–5 psi lower than recommended here — no risk of pinch flats means you can run more supple pressures for better comfort and grip.
